    Description

Beatles Shea Stadium Concert Poster (1965). A larger version of the New York City-area handbill, announcing an August 15, 1965 Shea Stadium show for the Beatles. This show went on to break records for attendance and total generated revenue, and was the biggest concert event of the era. The poster also announces Academy of Music shows by Herman's Hermits, the Dave Clark 5, the Kinks and Moody Blues, and the New York Folk Festival, held at Carnegie Hall, featuring Chuck Berry, Johnny Cash, and Phil Ochs. Measures 11" x 17" on tan board, with some warping at the top, and spots of discoloration from moisture damage, as well as dinged corners and some scars on the verso from tape removal. Very Good Plus.
