Beatles - John Lennon Personally Owned and Worn Two-Piece Track Suit (Circa 1970). A two-piece navy blue track/warm up suit (shirt and pants) with white-zippered trim. Danish-made, the label reads "HF Dragten / Monster Beskvit / Spinlon," with Danish size 48 noted on the tag of the pants. Accompanying the lot are two photographs of Lennon wearing the suit, with Yoko wearing the same, and a signed letter of authenticity from Yoko's ex husband, film producer Tony Cox, who took one of the photographs. According to the LOA, John and Yoko stayed with Cox and his family in Denmark for nearly a month in 1970, developing a friendship. Cox states: "During the visit, John and Yoko wore identical Danish running suits almost all the time. John's two suits were navy blue, while Yoko's were red. This suit is one of those worn by John...The suit was made by HF Dragten of Denmark." Worn during a time of personal renewal, the photos of the couple wearing the suits show them both with freshly short-cut hair, worn as a symbolic gesture of new beginnings. In Fine condition, with some staining evident on the right sleeve, and light wear consistent with age. LOA from Tony Cox.
