    Description

Beatles Four Pop Vintage Toy Guitar by Mastro on Original Display Card (NEMS, 1964). A 21" long red plastic four string guitar with silk-screened facial images and facsimile signatures in black around the sound hole and facial images on the headstock. "The Beatles", "Four Pop Guitar" and "Made in U.S.A. Under License" also printed in black. Mastro made several models of these toy Beatles guitars as well as a banjo, snare drum, and bongos, all very collectible. This example is the exceedingly rare "promotional variation" with a burgundy neck and the white shadowing behind the Beatles' faces, and is shrink wrapped on the original 8.5" x 23.75" die-cut display card featuring facial images, facsimile autographs, and an exhortation to the buyer to "Tune It/ Play It". This desirable piece of Beatles memorabilia comes with the original red guitar pick, strings, and instruction book. We note a minor 2" long crack below Ringo's picture on the body of the instrument and a tear in the plastic wrap nearby. Otherwise in Near Mint condition. Shrink wrap of a later date. From the Connie and Dennis Dailey Monumental Beatle Collection.
