    The Knack Get the Knack Gold Sales Appreciation Award. An in-house/appreciation award for the mega-selling debut album from the "My Sharona" group. Propelled by a solid groove by bassist Prescott Niles and drummer Bruce Gary, the tune was written by Doug Fieger and Berton Averre. Quincy Jones has cited the tune was an influence on Michael Jackson while they worked on Thriller, and especially "Beat It."

    According to the plaque in the bottom center portion, "Presented To / Dave Sholin / National Music Coordinator RKO Radio / To Commemorate the Sale of More Than / 500,000 Copies of the Album / Get the Knack / July 1979 / Bruce Wendell / Vice President / Capitol Records." Award has been repaired. Backing paper has two photocopied shots of the group with the award. Measures 17" x 21". In Very Good condition with scrapes in various spots on the frame.
