    The Doors Best Of BPI Gold Award Presented To and Signed by John Densmore (Elektra, 1983).
    A Gold British sales award for the Best of the Doors compilation album. Doors drummer Densmore's signature appears on the plexiglass but it has considerably faded and can only really be seen when held up to a light. According to the plaque beneath the gold disc, "Presented to / JOHN DENSMORE / to recognise sales in the United Kingdom / of more than 100,000 copies of the / ELEKTRA / album / 'THE BEST OF THE DOORS' / 1983." Framed to an overall 16" x 20.5". In Good condition with the gold disc warped from the center out, the Union Jack mini-flag has considerably faded, and some of the red matte has torn off below the disc. COA from Heritage Auctions.
