The Band Music from Big Pink RIAA Gold Record Sales Award (Capitol SKAO-2955, 1968). The debut album from the Band, Music from... laid the groundwork for their sound, mixing Country, Rock, Folk, Soul, and more. It features the timeless classic "The Weight," and showcases cover art by Bob Dylan. According to the plaque beneath the gold disc, this award was "Presented to Artie Mogull to Commemorate the Sale of More Than 500,000 Copies of the Capitol Records, Inc. Album and Cassette 'Music from Big Pink'". Framed in black to an overall 17" x 21". In Fine condition, with minor wear to the frame.Auction Info
