REO Speedwagon Live - You Get What You Play For RIAA Gold Record Award (Epic PEG 34494, 1977). Issued as a double LP in 1977 by Epic Records, You Get What You Play For was a rampaging live album that was a testament to their fierce Arena Rock heyday. It showed the boys from Illinois could Rock with the best of them before their 1980s period of Soft Rock stardom. The expertly-recorded live set includes REO classics "Like You Do," "Golden Country," and "Ridin' the Storm Out," which showcase the songwriting prowess of guitar slinger Gary Richrath. As the plaque below the gold disc states, this award was "Presented to Bud O'Shea to Commemorate the Sale of More Than 500,000 Copies of the Epic Records Long-Playing Record Album 'You Get What You Play For.'" This is an authentic, certified, RIAA, floater-type, gold LP award. It is a first presentation (construction correct for the date of certification). It is First-State (all original parts).
