Rascals "A Beautiful Morning" RIAA White Mat Gold Record Sales Award (Atlantic 45-2493, 1967). Interestingly, the plaque on this rare white mat RIAA award states it's presented to the Young Rascals, which is what the band was initially named due to protest from labelmates the Harmonica Rascals, to "Commemorate the Sale of More Than One Million Copies of the Atlantic Records Pop Single Record 'A Beautiful Morning'". Framed to an overall 13" x 17". In Very Fine condition, with minor wear to the frame and gold disc. From the David Gest Memorabilia Archive."A Beautiful Morning" is the first single released by the band under the name the Rascals, as they were previously named the "Young" Rascals. The song reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100, and remains a pop culture staple.
