DescriptionPointer Sisters "Fire" RIAA Gold Record Sales Award (Planet P-45901, 1978). The Springsteen-penned song was the first gold single for the Pointer Sisters, and rocketed the group to international stardom. According to the plaque beneath the gold disc, this award was "Presented to John Mason, Jr. to Commemorate the Sale of More Than One Million Copies of the Planet Records Single 'Fire' by the Pointer Sisters / Distributed by Elektra-Asylum Records / Certified by the Record Industry Association of America". Framed in black-and-gold to 12.25" x 15.25". In Fine condition, with minor wear to the frame.
