    Description

    Pink Floyd Animals RIAA Platinum Sales Award (Columbia, 1977). Released January 21, 1977, this was the tenth studio album for the group. It was a change from their earlier work, the focus on the sociopolitical issues of Britain in the late 1970s. This particular award was presented to record executive, Ron McCarrell, according to the plaque beneath the disc. It reads, "Presented To / Ron McCarrell / To Commemorate the Sale of More Than / 1,000,000 Copies of the / Columbia Records / Long-Playing Record Album / 'Animals'." Framed to an overall 17" x 21". In Very Good condition, with some minor wear to the frame, including scratching. COA from Heritage Auctions.
