Paul Mauriat "Love is Blue (L'Amour est Bleu)" RIAA White Mat Gold Record Sales Award (Philips 40495, 1967). According to the plaque beneath the gold disc, the award was "Presented to Paul Mauriat to Commemorate the Sale of More Than One Million Copies of the Philips Records Pop Single Record 'Love is Blue'". Awards presented to the recording artists themselves are seldom offered and are very desirable. Framed with a white mat to an overall 13" x 17". In Fine condition, with some dings and scratches to the frame. From the David Gest Memorabilia Archive.This record was until 2017 - when the draught was ended by "Starboy" from Daft Punk and th Weeknd - the only hit by a French artist to hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
