Jethro Tull Crest Of A Knave RIAA Hologram Gold Sales Award (Chrysalis OV 41590, 1987). The sixteenth studio album by the band and the first after a three year pause due to vocalist Ian Anderson's throat problems. It controversially won the 1988 Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock/ Metal Performance Vocal or Instrumental beating a heavily-favored Metallica album. In response, Chrysalis took out an advertisement in a British music magazine with the headline: "The flute is a heavy, metal instrument!" According to the plaque beneath the gold disc and above the CD and Cassette, this award was "Presented to Chrysalis Records Ltd. to Commemorate the Sale of More Than 500,000 Copies of the Chrysalis Records Ltd. Album, Cassette and C.D. 'Crest Of A Knave'". Framed to an overall 16.75" x 20.75" and in Excellent condition, save for a couple of minor dings to the frame.
