    Description

Isley Brothers - Two RIAA Gold Record Awards for The Heat is On and "Fight the Power - Part 1" (T-Neck, 1975). Two fantastic RIAA-certified gold sales awards for the 1975 Isley Brothers LP The Heat is On and its lead single, "Fight the Power - Part 1", each presented to prolific producer and Jazz bassist Malcolm Cecil. Both framed in an antique gold finish to an overall 17" x 21" and 13.25" x 17.25", respectively. Both in Fine condition, with minor wear, though The Heat is On exhibits more noticeable wear to the frame, and separation to the backing paper.

More Information: A Grammy-winning record producer and engineer, as well as a founding member of the United Kingdom's foremost jazz quintet, the Jazz Couriers, Malcolm Cecil has worked with the Isley Brothers, Stevie Wonder, Billy Preston and many others. Here, for the first time offered at auction anywhere, Heritage brings you a selection of Gold Record awards from Cecil's personal collection. Each is presented to him, representing but a few of his landmark achievements in the realms of Funk, Soul, and Rhythm & Blues.
