Bruce Springsteen Born to Run RIAA Gold Sales Award Presented to Columbia Records. A gold sales award for the mainstream breakthrough album from the Boss, presented to the label that released it. It was made to explode off of stereos and change people's lives, and it did. Rolling Stone placed it at #21 on its 2020 list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. According to the plaque in the bottom center portion, "Presented To / Columbia Records / To Commemorate the Sale of More Than / 500,000 Copies of the / Columbia Records / Long-Playing Record Album / 'Born to Run'."
