Beatles Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band RIAA Gold Record Award (Capitol 2653, 1967). Eventually reaching the #1 spot, Sgt. Pepper spent 175 weeks on the American Billboard charts and produced a number of chart-topping singles as well. This gold record was "Presented to The Beatles to Commemorate the Sale of More Than One Million Dollars Worth of the Capitol Records Long-Playing Record Album 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band'". The award is in Very Good condition, with moderate wear and dings to the frame, some of which have been re-touched with brown marker. Matted and framed to an overall size of 17.75" x 21.75". This award was part of a large collection that was displayed in the lobby of the California Gold Record Company and was obtained after the company was sold.
