A Connie Francis Group of 'Laurel' Awards, 1960s. Four items total, all presented to the singer, including: 1) the first a wooden plaque with text reading in part "Connie Francis / Top Ten New Star" in 1961, signed in black felt-tip ink on the back "Connie / Francis;" 2) the second a paper citation for "Top Five Musical Performance" in 1965; 3) the third another paper citation for same category in 1966; and 4) a two-page Western Union telegram from the Laurel Awards staff to Francis, dated "1963 Jul 9," reading in part "you (are) among / the Top Five for Best Female Musical Performance for your outstanding / work in Follow The Boys," annotated in black foutain pen ink on the top left margin "George, / Is this / some / kind / of / joke? / CF," signed decades later in blue ballpoint ink on the right side "Connie / Francis" -- overall, this collection illustrates how much the Motion Picture Exhibitor committee [the entity responsible for the Laurel Awards] loved Connie Francis! (Please note the 1965 citation shows tape residue and staining on the back and the 1966 one has been mounted to cardboard.)
    9 1/2" x 14" and smaller
Included with a 'Certificate of Authenticity' hand-signed by Connie Francis.

"I couldn't believe they gave me an award for the movie, "Follow the Boys." I didn't think I deserved it."
