Description

A Connie Francis 'Annual American Bandstand Poll' Award, 1958.

Presented to the singer, silver-tone metal in the form of a 45 record, label reads "1958 / Annual American / Bandstand / Poll / Favorite Female Vocalist / Connie Francis;" included with a reprinted black and white photograph of the singer standing next to Dick Clark; interestingly, "American Bandstand" only gave out these awards for the years from 1958 to 1962 -- and Francis won those five years in a row as did Elvis Presley in the 'Male Vocalist' category! (Please note there is glue residue on back of disc where it was once mounted to a frame.) Included with a 'Certificate of Authenticity' hand-signed by Connie Francis.
Diameter: 7 1/2"

"There were 40 million kids every day watching "American Bandstand" in the 1950s -- that's the same amount of people who watch the Super Bowl! It got me my start in the music business but more importantly, it was how I met a lifelong, dear friend, Dick Clark. I still miss him every day."
