DescriptionA Connie Francis 'American Bandstand Poll' Award, 1962.
Presented to the singer, silver-tone metal in the form of a 45 record, label reads "American Bandstand Poll / 1962 / Most Popular Female Vocalist / Connie Francis;" interestingly, "American Bandstand" only gave out these awards for the years from 1958 to 1962 -- and Francis won those five years in a row as did Elvis Presley in the 'Male Vocalist' category! (Please note there is glue residue on back of disc where it was once mounted to a frame.)
Included with a 'Certificate of Authenticity' hand-signed by Connie Francis.
"This was my fifth and final "American Bandstand" Award in a row and the last year they were given out. I remember saying, "Dick, why don't you give it to Brenda Lee this year?" and he replied, "Connie, we don't cook the books!""
