1910 Fruitgum Company "1, 2, 3, Red Light" RIAA White Matte Gold Record Award (Buddah BDA 54, 1968). A huge hit in the United States and even bigger one in Canada, "1, 2, 3, Red Light" is one of the quintessential examples of 1960s Bubblegum Pop. It was written by Sal and Bobby Trimachi and was recorded by 1910 Fruitgum Company, and released on their 1968 album of the same name. The song's b-side was an odd filler track titled "Sticky Sticky." Presented to record executive Cecil Holmes, this award commemorates the sale of "More Than One Million Copies of the Buddah Records, Inc. Pop Single Record '1, 2, 3, Red Light.'" Framed to an overall 13.25" x 17.25", the disc shows moderate wear, and the frame has minor dings and scuffs. Very Good condition. This is an authentic, certified, RIAA, white matte type, gold 45 award, It is a first presentation (construction correct for the date of certification). It is First-State (all original parts - backing paper and hanging missing).
