FROM THE ROLLING STONES' FOURTH BRITISH TOUR OF 1964, SIGNED BY THE STONES AND ADDITIONAL ARTISTS ON THE BILL

The Rolling Stones Signed ABC Lincoln, UK Concert Poster (1964). An important and rare vintage original window-card size concert poster, promoting "The Sensational Rolling Stones" headlining at the ABC Lincoln on September 22, 1964. Measuring 12" x 18.5" and inscribed "to Shirley," signed in ballpoint by Brian Jones, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Bill Wyman, and Charlie Watts. Signed by other artists from the night's advertised line-up, including Mike Berry (Mike Berry and the Innocents), Charlie Foxx (Inez and Charlie Foxx), and Simon Scott (Simon Scott with the De Roys). A scarce poster in its own right, this example's importance is greatly enhanced by the extensive autographs by many of the night's performers, including all members of the Rolling Stones on this early tour. The UK package tour of September and October 1964 was a grueling schedule comprising two shows a night with 32 theatres visited in just 37 days. In Rolling Stones 50, the Stones reveal that their set would be a selection of eight songs - decided by the band - from a repertoire of around 20 songs. Exhibits light wear including minor nicks or tears to the edges, central fold line, and two small holes to the top edge holding length of string; verso inscribed "are you" in black ink, not visible to the front.
