The Beatles: John Lennon Signed Customs Form - July 28, 1980. A superb group lot of documents marking an important point in John Lennon's final few months, presented here is an original Customs Declaration form, dated July 28, 1980, filled out and signed entirely in Lennon's hand. Along with writing out his name and address, Lennon also notes his date of birth, citizenship, and that he is traveling with his son, Sean. Accomplished in a rich black ink and signed, "John Lennon," at the conclusion. On the reverse, the customs inspector notes that Lennon has brought back an assortment of clothing along with a painting worth $6,000. Returning from this two month songwriting excursion to the Bahamas where he was able to pen many highly successful songs, including songs for Double Fantasy including (Just Like) Starting Over among others and songs from Milk & Honey, released posthumously in 1983, this trip would mark Lennon's final journey outside of America before his tragic passing. Also included are the original Customs forms for Lennon's personal assistant, Frederic Seaman, and Sean's nanny, Uda Uneko. Each form measures 4 x 8.5 and is in very fine condition. From The Tom Fontaine Music Memorabilia Collection.
