Rolling Stones Second American Tour Book Signed by Four (Fort Wayne, November 12, 1964). A 10" x 13" twenty-four-page souvenir tour program signed on the Introduction page by Mick Jagger, Keith Richard, Charlie Watts, and Bill Wyman, each next to their image. Interestingly, the names beneath Brian's and Mick's photos are switched. Brian Jones did not sign this as this was one of the four venues on that tour that he was too ill to perform. This was obtained by Don Chevillet, a radio personality for local station WOWO for his daughter Debbie to whom it is inscribed. Included with the lot is a signed letter from Chevillet summarizing his participation in the concert and the signing of the book (transcript can be viewed on our website). Book is somewhat wavy from dampness which has affected the Watts signature a bit. Very Good overall. COA from Heritage Auctions.

    More Information:

Summary of Rolling Stones Concert that took place in Ft. Wayne Indiana, November 1964, as told by Don Chevillet, WOWO Radio Personality.

In addition to the Rolling Stones, The Shangri-las, and The Green Men were also on the bill. As a member of the legendary WOWO Pussy Cats, we were also on the bill and opened the show to just over 2000 fans in the Memorial Coliseum, in Ft. Wayne Indiana on Thursday November 12,1964. In addition to singing with the group, I was given the task, on behalf of WOWO Radio, of playing host and making sure the Rolling Stones were kept under some control, as it was rumored that the group was hard to keep track of. One of their members, Brian Jones, was ill, and not in attendance for this show.

It was during this timeframe, prior to their performance that I asked for their autographs on their tour program book. I explained to them that I wished to give it to my daughter Debbie. They graciously accepted the offer.

This particular tour program book shows a photo of Brian Jones, with Mick Jagger's name underneath. Likewise Mick's photo has Brian's name underneath it. This has become known as the misprint tour book. Brian's signature is not on the book, as he was not part of this 2nd American tour.
