    Description

Rolling Stones - Paul Karslake Hand-Painted Fender Stratocaster for and Signed by Ronnie Wood. An excellent custom body Fender Strat, featuring a splendid Native American motif, hand painted in 2008 by artist and ex brother-in-law of Ronnie Wood, Paul Karslake. The guitar was painted for a 2009 US tour that unfortunately never materialized, with a design based on Native American figure Chester Medicine Crow. Crow's likeness, framed in traditional native headdress covers the left, while the right of the guitar is painted in a desert sunset. The reverse is adorned with a star-filled night sky. In silver paint, both Wood and Karslake add their signatures, with the inscription "For use on 2009 tour". In fine condition. Includes Fender hard case. COA from Heritage Auctions.

The inspiration for the artwork on this guitar comes originates from a small medallion featuring the head of Chester Medicine Crow that was presented to Ronnie Wood by U.S. President Bill Clinton.
