Roky Erickson Signed Openers First Printing Hardcover Book (Pyramid Publishing, 1972). Offered here is a hardcover first printing of the late 13th Floor Elevators frontman (and noted alien/horror rocker) Roky Erickson's book, Openers. Released by Austin press Pyramid Publishing in 1972 under his full name (and then some!) Rev. Roger Roky Kynard Erickson, Openers is a collection of poetry written by Erickson while he was held at the Rusk Hospital for the Criminally Insane in Austin due to a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia coupled with marijuana-related legal issues. Issued without a dust jacket, this volume is seldom seen in such a condition. Very Good, with light toning throughout, and some smudging/soiling on the covers. Measures approximately 5 1/2" x 9". COA from Heritage Auctions.
