Ringo Starr Signed and Dated "Is It Time" Limited Edition Giclée, #5 of 100 (2005). Ringo stated how his career as an artist began: "I started in the late nineties with my computer art. While I was touring it gave me something to do in all those crazy hotels you have to stay in on the road." In 2005 he did his first art exhibition with a series of fourteen images, this being one that sold out immediately. A 29" x 23" print on paper, it is hand-signed in felt tip at lower right: "Ringo 05" with his famous drawn "star." At lower left it is numbered in pencil "5/100" with a holographic sticker "Ringo Starr Is It Time #005/100". A stunning piece with a face shown in four quadrants, each in a different combination of colors and with the text "Is It 'Time'". It apparently has many meanings attached to it. Is Ringo feeling 'it is time' to release his artwork, or is it a reference to the beat a drummer must keep? Maybe it shows by its color scheme the changing seasons, with blue as winter, green as spring, yellow for summer, and orange for autumn. Long out of print. Published by Celebrity Art as noted on the verso. Excellent, as-issued condition.
