Patsy Cline Signed Black and White Promotional Photo (1950s). Virginia "Patsy" Cline was born on September 8, 1932 in Gore, Virginia, and passed away in a plane crash that also took the life of Country star Hawkshaw Hawkins on March 5, 1963. Though her life ended at the young age of 30, Cline's voice, a strong contralto, cemented her place as an immortal force in Country and Pop music. This promotional photograph, showing Cline during the late 1950s, measures 8" x 10", and is signed "Musically Yours/Patsy Cline/'Decca'" in black ink at the lower right corner. Signature is bright and clear, though the photo shows several small creases, soiling at the edges, yellowing on the verso, and a tear on the right edge, at the middle, measuring approximately .25".
