Description

Original Moody Blues Autographs and Elkie Brooks Autograph (c. 1965). Most music fans associate the Moody Blues with the duo Justin Hayward and John Lodge who collaborated on most of the group's well-known hits, but the two didn't join the group until 1966. Before that the frontman was Denny Laine (who later joined Paul McCartney's Wings), who sang lead on the group's first hit, "Go Now!" in 1965. The original Moody Blues lineup of Laine, Ray Thomas, Michael Pinder, Clint Warwick, and Graeme Edge have signed this 7.25" x 4.25" heavy stock paper, probably cut from an autograph book. Bonus: on the opposite side of the paper, an autographed inscription from Elkie Brooks, a big star in the UK, whose greatest commercial success came in the late 1970s and early 1980s. In the early '60s though, the young Brooks appeared with such acts as the Beatles, the Animals, Small Faces, and the Moody Blues. The autograph page is in Excellent condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.
