New York Dolls - An Arthur "Killer" Kane Address Book (Circa 1970s-1980s). With a hot pink cover featuring an image of Mickey Mouse above text reading "Disneyland," inside pages filled with names, addresses, and telephone numbers handwritten in various colors of ink by both Kane and his wife [Barbara Garrison Kane] as well as assistants, a virtual 'who's who' and 'what's what' of the rock/celebrity scene of the late 1970s and early 1980s in Los Angeles (and some New York) including entries such as (in alphabetical order): Atlantic Records, Peter Bogdanovich, Capitol Records, Casablanca/Neil Bogart, Shaun Cassidy, Cathay de Grande, Eric Clapton, Club Lingerie, Dick Clark Productions, Peter Fonda, Kim Fowley, Gorky's Café, Grateful Dead, Hard Rock Café, Hugh Hefner, David Johansen, Steve Jones, Kris Kristofferson, Madame Wong's West, Mercury Records, Keith Moon, Jimmy Page, Polygram, The Record Plant, Rhino Records, Roxy Theatre, SAG, Social Distortion, Starwood, Danny Sugarman, Sylvain Sylvain, Johnny Thunders, Tropicana Hotel, The Troubador, Andy Warhol, Chuck Wein, Brian Wilson, and Frank Zappa, among many others -- overall, a fascinating look at a very specific time in our recent rock history; consigned directly by Kane's widow, Barbara Garrison Kane; included with a 'Letter of Provenance' from her. (Please note the spine is taped together and the rest of the book is now very worn and somewhat tattered due to age and use.)
