John Lennon Signed Copy of His First Book In His Own Write (1964).
An autographed copy of John Lennon's book In His Own Write, most likely signed in the magical Beatlemania year of 1964. John's signature in pen appears up front, on the first blank page. The book was published in late March 1964, just a couple of weeks before the Beatles famously occupied the top five spots on Billboard magazine's singles chart in America. This could have been signed right away, of course, or certainly within months, as the new author happily signed copies of his debut book, also the first Beatles solo project of any kind. The book was a lark, not serious journalism, but captures Lennon's personality and free spirit perfectly.

Measures 5.5" x 7". In Very Good condition with minor fading on the signature, some toning on the endpapers, loss along spine, bumped corners, and crease marks along the front flap. Includes an extra cover that was taped to the inside in order to show both the cover and sig in a framed situation, with a lot of crease folds and tape on the reverse of that extra cover. COA from Heritage Auctions.
