    Description

John Lennon, Richard Lester, and Others - Signed Call Sheet from Filming of How I Won the War (Germany, 1966). Another great lot from the hairdresser that chopped John Lennon's "moptop" off before the filming of this black comedy set during World War II (see associated Lots 89135 and 89136). This one-page 8.5" x 11" mimeographed page is titled "Petersham Films Limited/ Call Sheet No.15" and is dated September 8, 1966. It bears the following autographs in bold green felt tip: "John Lennon" (Musketeer Gripweed); "My Many Thanks/ Richard Lester" (producer and director); and "güte Luck Kraus,/ John Trenaman" (driver). The following have signed in blue ballpoint: "Cheers!/ Roy Kinnear" (Musketeer Clapper); "With Thanks/ Michael Crawford" (Lieutenant Earnest Goodbody); and "P L Rodero" (assistant director). Based on the "Effects" list at the bottom, this was apparently the day they filmed the scene where Lennon as Gripweed died. Also included with this lot is a snapshot copy of an original photo of Lennon and other of the cast and crew in costume. One vertical and one horizontal fold, overall Very Good.
