    Description

Hank Williams, Sr. and Hank Williams, Jr. Signature Lot. Hank Williams, Sr. was known as the sad soul of country music, penning the music and lyrics to such classic country hits as "Your Cheatin' Heart", "Cold, Cold Heart" and "Jambalaya". He enjoyed a meteoric rise to fame in the late 1940s, his career cut short by his sudden death at age 29 on New Year's Day, 1953. His multi-talented son had begun performing at age eight and was appearing in concert by age 16. In 1964, he recorded the soundtrack for Your Cheatin' Heart, a film about his father's life. Also a talented songwriter, the younger Williams was named "Entertainer of the Year" by the Country Music Association in 1987 and 1988 and has won 15 BMI awards. Featured here is a 3" x 2 1/2" card signed by Williams, Sr. and a photograph of Junior being held as a baby by his famous father, signed by the famous son. Framed and matted together along with a commemorative plaque, all items are in fine condition. With COA from PSA/DNA.
