Frank Zappa Signed Early Contract Forming His Music Publishing Company (1966). A one page legal size document signed "FZ" at the close. Dated June 13, 1966, it establishes Frank Zappa Music Company as a partnership between Zappa (51%) and Fourth Landing Music Company (49%) for a three year period. Paragraph eight states: "That during the existence of this agreement, all original material written or controlled by Frank Zappa, including all material recorded by 'The Mothers of Invention', shall be placed in Frank Zappa Music Company." It was exactly two weeks later that the first "Mothers" album Freak Out! was released on Verve Records. A very important piece of Zappa history. Excellent condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.
