Elvis Presley Thrice-Signed High School Yearbook (1953). A unique copy of The Herald, the 1953 yearbook for Humes High School of Memphis, Tennessee, in that it bears three signings of a certain senior named Elvis Presley - on the inside cover, with an inscription to his classmate, Billie Ann Banks, and twice more next to his senior photo on page 20, including another inscription. The yearbook's also signed on page 8 by George Klein, Senior Class President and Elvis' lifelong friend who would go on to become a well-known TV and radio personality.
Billie Ann was quite a popular member of the large Class of '53, and that's reflected in the number of classmates signing and inscribing this yearbook. She was part of a group of Elvis' classmates that were invited to join Elvis for private movie viewings over the years, well into the 1960s. The Malco theater in the Whitehaven area of Memphis was often rented out by Elvis for the private enjoyment of a select number of his friends, including some of his former high school classmates and many of those same insiders spent time at Graceland. According to Billie Ann's relatives, It was during two of these "reunions" that Billie Ann got her two bonus autographs. Also included with the yearbook is Billie Ann Banks' actual high school diploma. The yearbook is in Very Good condition, with the contents having separated from the covers but otherwise complete. The signatures are in great condition, clear and unfaded. The oldest of the three signings, next to Elvis' picture, has been authenticated by Elvis expert Rich Consola.
