Elvis Presley Signed Personal Appearance Contract. This historic personal appearance contract, on Colonel Tom Parker's specially designed 36.5" x 8.5" form, is signed in blue ink by Elvis and promoter Lee Gordon. The contract sets up a series of ten shows for March 29-April 7, 1957, to the tune of $100,000. The tour consisted of performances in St. Louis, Fort Wayne, Detroit, Buffalo, Toronto, Ottawa, and Philadelphia. (A show in suburban Montreal was canceled due to pressure from local civic and church officials.) The Canadian engagements would ultimately prove to be Elvis' only performances outside the U.S. It was during this tour that Elvis wore his famous gold lamé suit. The contract is in Very Fine to Excellent condition with fold creases and a punch hole to the upper left corner, and has been matted to 41.5" x 13.5".
