DescriptionElvis Presley Signed Humes High School Yearbook, 1951.
The 'Herald' from the singer's sophomore year, signed on the title page in blue ballpoint ink in the lower right hand corner "Best of Luck / Elvis Presley;" the future King also appears on page 29 in a black and white group photo showing the "A Company Second Platoon" where his face has been circled in black felt-tip ink. (Please note the yearbook is now in poor condition due to age though EP's signature is not affected.) Jerry Osborne's Presleyana VII Near Mint value for yearbook = $2,500. 12" x 9"
This piece was consigned directly by Ralph Shinbaum, a fellow Humes High student. And though the young Shinbaum appears in the photograph above Elvis on page 29 (they were both in ROTC) and though he asked Elvis to sign his yearbook, sadly, he doesn't remember much about what the 16 year-old Presley was like!
