Elvis Presley Signed Album Cover and Newspaper Clipping Group (1956). Elvis' autograph on the back of this copy of the first Elvis Presley LP, the classic Elvis Presley (RCA LPM-1254, 1956), headlines this group of EP memorabilia collected by Houston, Texas super-fan, Becky Wilkerson. The album cover is heavily taped, including tape used to seal the autograph, and the disc included is in GD 4 condition at best, but the key here is the autograph, and we've never seen another autographed copy of this album! The clippings appear to all be from the Houston Chronicle, and most are concerned with Elvis' first major appearance in Houston, which came about as the result of a letter-writing campaign by several area fan clubs. Also included is Miss Wilkerson's personal fan club card, a picture sleeve for Elvis' monster double-sided hit "Hound Dog"/"Don't Be Cruel" (no record included), and a page from Miss Wilkerson's scrapbook titled "The Most Memorable Day of My Young Life," dated October 13, 1956, which includes a letter granting her an interview with Elvis from radio station KLBS and a very rare backstage pass. Accompanied by a COA from Rick Consola and a James Spence Authentication auction LOA.
