Donovan Signed Guitar with Sketch. A beautiful 1995 Guild D4 NT HR Guitar, Serial #AD043174 dreadnought acoustic guitar in a natural hand-rubbed finish. Elaborately signed in black felt tip along the lower bass bout: "Play in Joy/ Donovan/ Winter 1995". He has added a drawing of a sunrise, birds, mountains, and water. What a great item for display. The legendary singer/songwriter Donovan's first record in many years, Sutras, was produced by equally legendary producer, Rick Rubin, for American Records.
This was a significant event for Donovan and in expression of his gratitude to Jeff Abrams, then Senior VP of Music Marketing for Best Buy, he personally signed the guitar in the office of Record Executive, Ken Didia. There is a photo of Donovan holding up the signed '95 Guild D4 acoustic guitar that accompanies the item.
