Buddy Holly Australian Tour Contract. The stuff of legend and still fondly remembered Down Under, Buddy Holly and the Crickets' 1958 tour of Australia had a similar effect on that nation that their UK performances would have just weeks later, broadening the reach of Rock and Roll. This single-page performance contract, dated January 2, 1958, established the particulars of the weeklong tour and is signed in Buddy's name by band manager Norman Petty. The document is in Very Fine condition and has been matted and framed along with a January 1, 1958 letter from the Actors and Announcers Equity Association of Australia and a b&w 8" x 10" band photo, to an overall size of 12.25" x 39.25".
