    Description

Beatles Signed Introducing The Beatles Mono LP (VJLP 1062,1964). The front cover of the LP signed in blue ink by John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. The back is signed and inscribed in a different blue ink "Best wishes from Uncle Paul (McCartney)". Also included in this lot is a copy of Meet The Beatles signed on the back cover by Ringo Starr; and eight previously unpublished color photographs of The Beatles relaxing on Star Island on February 15, 1964. Six of the photos are stamped in red "Kodachrome Print...Mar. 64" to the back. Accompanied by a signed affidavit from Rick Forgham who acquired the autographs. All photographs approximately 3.5" x 3.5".

Introducing The Beatles Condition: VG 5 (cover) (signatures on the front have signs of secondary indentation and separation possibly from the pen ink not adhering fully to the color surface. This may be why Paul signed in a different ink on the back. The owner has added his name on the front and his name and address on the back) VG-EX 6 (disc). Meet The Beatles Condition: VG 5 (cover) (Ringo's signature is smudged, possibly from water spillage, owner's name has been added which is also smudged G 3 (disc). The photographs are in Very Good condition with remnants of adhesive to the backs and some general toning and yellowing.

On February 16 1964, the Beatles were scheduled to make their second appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show which was to be recorded at the Deauville Hotel in Miami. The day before, it was arranged for them to have a relaxing day away from their fans. They were sneaked out of the hotel and spent the day at a house owned by a relative of one of the Beatles' security staff. By chance, Rick Forgham was living at the same house while attending high school in Miami and asked them to autograph his albums and took photographs with his Kodak Instamatic camera.
