Beatles Signed Autograph Album Page Circa 1962, with Photo. Before there was John, Paul, George, and Ringo there was John, Paul, George, and Pete. By spring of 1962 The Beatles were a permanent quartet and were on their way to superstardom. By that time, they had recorded their first single ("My Bonnie"), signed with Brian Epstein, and were discussing with renowned producer George Martin the possibility of producing their first album. This 4.5" x 3" autograph album is signed by Pete Best as well as John Lennon and Paul McCartney in blue ink, with each adding "love" after their signatures. The page was signed in mid-1962, and it was only a few months after these autographs were obtained that Pete was abruptly removed from the band and replaced with Ringo Starr, cementing the line-up that would forever be recognized as The Beatles. It is accompanied by a 15.5" x 13" b&w photo of the original Fab Four performing an early gig at the Cavern Club, #874 in a limited edition of 10,000, also signed by Best. There is some very mild wear and discoloration to the edges of the page; otherwise, both items are in Excellent condition. A fantastic set of autographs. Accompanied by a LOA from Beatles historian Frank Caiazzo and a COA from PSA/DNA.
