Beatles Related - John Lennon Typed Letter Signed. Colorful, cynical typed letter signed in red pencil "John" (beside the Lennon Music letterhead), to Derek Taylor (1932-1997), journalist and longtime press agent for the Beatles. Lennon (then in "house husband" mode) has typed the Dakota Apartments address above the letterhead, dated the missive "hot tuna 75," and writes In his irreverent style (in part): "Dear Derek, Wasermarrawitchiz?..This is Ronan O'Really calling in to appraise the situation. I meself have decided to be or not to be for a coupla years?...Am thinking of becoming a magician. more scope!..... My on touch....(I've got two)..said they'd been to Apple a few yeas back and no-one would let them in..."He's an only child" said a friendly beatnik kicking them out the door! A-fuckin'mazing, sez I. God, life goes on bra', up and doon...keep the pound afloat! long live the emperor! queen for a day!" Lennon signs it "dr. w. etc." Derek Taylor's distinctions include his presence at the "Bed for Peace" in Montreal and making the 1970 announcement of the Beatles' break-up. Very Good condition with a few creases, mild soiling, and crossfolds. Accompanied by James Spence Authentication auction LOA.
