Beatles Related - Astrid Kirchherr Handwritten Letter to Millie Sutcliffe. A two-page letter letter handwritten by German photographer and artist Astrid Kirchherr to Millie Sutcliffe, mother of late founding Beatle, Stuart Sutcliffe. Kirchherr had been Sutcliffe's girlfriend during the last two years of his life, and wrote this letter circa April-May 1962, shortly after his untimely death from a cerebral hemorrhage at age 21. It reads in part: "...I hope you can still read my letter! It is very hard for me to right in bed!...I know I am a bit stupid, but I know that you don't care if I am a bit stupid or not. ...So how are my sisters (referring to Stuart's sisters, Pauline and Joyce)? I hope they soon feel like writing to me. Tell Pauline George sings a lovely song...'A Picture of You' and John sings 'Love is a Swinging Thing' and 'Money', they are both very good songs." She concludes with drawings of two biscuits for her "sisters", a bottle of whiskey, and a valentine inscribed "Astrid loves Stuart forever." In Very Fine condition with mild wear and mailing creases.
