Beatles - John Lennon: Al Hirschfeld Signed "Lennon At Home" Limited Edition Lithograph, #156 of 199 (1997). Pictures Lennon sitting in his windowsill in front of the New York skyline that includes the now-fallen twin towers of the World Trade Center. Printed monocolor on 18" x 23" heavy stock Arches French archival deckled edge paper, and numbered in pencil at lower left "156/199"; it is signed in pencil at lower right "Hirschfeld". Note that the odd edition of 199 was in tribute to John's favorite number. Excellent, as-issued condition.

Hirschfeld said of this piece in the book Hirschfeld On Line: "The ex-Beatle is sitting in his windowsill at the Dakota on Central Park West, where he lived and where he was gunned down in 1980. His shape here is not that different from the skyscrapers in the skyline behind him, super-vertical. This drawing gets across the playful, mischievous, professorial quality he had." (New York: Applause, 1999, page 335).
