Beatles, Brian Epstein, and Helen Shapiro Signatures (UK, circa 1963). Two separate items. One is a 6" x 4" sheet of tan paper signed in ink as follows: "To John (thanks for the letter)/ Paul McCartney", "To John/ with best wishes/ George Harrison", "To John/ Best Wishes/ Ringo Starr", and "To John/ all the best/ from/ John Lennon/ (Beatles)". The back of that sheet is signed: "To John love/ Helen Shapiro X". The second item is a 6.5" x 2.75" tan sheet with a huge signature of the Beatles' manager: "Brian Epstein". The Beatle and Shapiro autographs were likely obtained on their tour together, February - March, 1963. If your name is John and you're a Beatle fan, this is a "must have" item for you. Very desirable with the additional sentiments by all the Beatles. Both fine, the Beatles page has a horizontal seam going across near the bottom, barely noticeable.

This was a very important and productive time for the Beatles. They were on their first nationwide UK tour along with several other acts, backing up Britain's top female singer, sixteen year-old Helen Shapiro. Their second single "Please Please Me" was climbing the charts at the time. The tour had started February 2, 1963, and they participated in several of the opening dates before going to London to record ten tracks for their first album on February 11. They later rejoined the tour and, on February 28, while on the tour bus riding from York to Shrewsbury, Paul and John wrote what would turn out to be their next hit record "From Me To You" (and their first single to reach #1 in all the UK charts).
