    Description

Badfinger Band-Signed Contracts. Hailed as the heirs apparent to the Beatles, the members of Badfinger instead fell victim to events that splintered the band and lead to the suicides of its two principal members. Rising stars in the late '60s, Badfinger were signed to a business management contract with New York businessman Stan Polley in November 1970. Polley's professional reputation was touted at the time, but within a year allegations of financial mismanagement from other clients and associates convinced many to sever ties with him. In 1972, Polley negotiated a record contract with Warner Bros. for Badfinger which called for advances to be paid into an escrow account; in December 1974, Warner filed a lawsuit against Polley when it could not locate the funds. The ensuing legal troubles effectively halted Badfinger's career, crippled them financially, and contributed to the infighting that ultimately caused the group to implode. These are the four contracts, dated November 12, 1970, signed one each by bandmates Pete Ham, Joey Molland, Mike Gibbins, and Tom Evans, and all signed by Polley. In Very Fine condition with some wear. Accompanied by James Spence Authentication auction LOA.

The movie quite literally changed my life. I have included a pic of me in Sly's Rocky 3 Cashmere overcoat, would much appreciate if it is possible for you to forward this email to Sly to let him know the overcoat is in good hands, and will be well taken care of, (as will be the Rambo knife forging tools, the other lot I won!) Wish you very happy holidays and a great 2016!
