A Twice-Signed 1972 Letter and Mickey Mouse Drawing From Michael Jackson to a Fan With a Michael Jackson Owned And Worn Bracelet. This is one of the nicest Michael Jackson autographs - two autographs, actually - that Heritage has ever offered. The day after the July 8, 1972 Jackson 5 performance in Charlotte NC, two young sisters met the group at the hotel they were staying at, and received the full set of group autographs and handwritten concert introduction by Tito that is being offered in lot 90418. One of the sisters struck up a conversation with Michael, and confided to him that she liked drawing and hoped to take an art class. The two youngsters talked about the things they liked to draw, and before Michael departed, he gave her a bracelet off his wrist and promised to write to her. A few days later, on Jackson 5 stationery, a letter arrived with Michael's signature on the return envelope, and this absolute treasure within: a large drawing of Mickey Mouse in a heart, fashioned to resemble the "Jackson 5ive" group logo, and this endearing message: "All I have to say is be cool and I will see you next time. And take an art class. Love, Michael Jackson." Hand-written in blue ballpoint on 7" x 12" cream and pink Jackson Five stationery imprinted "GOIN' BACK TO INDIANA" at the top, the group logo and business address at the bottom, and four folds. A slight bit of moisture smudging through the written message extending into Mickey Mouse's ears. The matching envelope measuring 7.5" x 4", postmarked July 17,1972 from Chicago. Michael's signature at top left with moisture smudging but fully legible. The silver metal bracelet with a dual serpent-head design, 3.5" across, with tarnish. All items overall Very Good. Includes a copy of a signed Letter of Provenance from the original owner recounting her meeting with Michael Jackson. COA from Heritage Auctions.
