    Willis O'Brien Storyboard Panels #55-72 for The Last of the Oso Si-Papu (1950). Eighteen original hand painted storyboards accomplished in pencil, pen, and gouache on 5.25" x 4" paper leaves tipped, nine per board, to two 20" x 15" backing boards (marked 7 and 8) affixed to two subsequent 24" x 20" backing boards. Storyboard frames numbered 55 to 72.

    Featuring characters, animals and the Oso Si-Papu ("Bear from the darkness of the underworld") from Willis O'Brien's unproduced feature film. The Oso Si-Papu is a Native American mythical creature described as a 20-ft. tall bear with nubby, reptilian skin. Panel number 69 is an unpainted pencil sketch.
