Phenomenal vintage original collection of 297 gelatin silver photographs on single and double-weight paper ranging in size from 4.25" x 3" to 7" x 5". These photos come from O'Brien's personal keybook of production, test, and behind the scenes photographs. With images of cast including Fay Wray, Robert Armstrong, Bruce Cabot and others, various crew including O'Brien, Marcel Delgado, Byron Crabbe, Jack McFadden and others, unforgettable sets including Skull Island, the immense native Village and massive gate, the Broadway marquee and Theater, the streets of New York City and more.

    Images of iconic scenes include Kong snatching Ann Darrow (Wray) at the ritual sacrifice, Dinosaurs roaming the jungle, Kong's earth-shaking fight with the T-Rex, Kong's rampage in NYC and behind the scenes images of crew manning cameras (Edward Linden, J.O. Taylor, etc.) and standing on the practical sets. Some matte shots. Also includes incredible images of O'Brien's team in the animation studio posing with the Kong stop motion puppet and working on practical effects like a large animatronic ape's paw, gigantic Pterodactyl feet and engineering and photographing the effect of a model miniature bi-plane crashing.
