    Vintage screen-used Oscar prop from The Bad and the Beautiful. (MGM, 1952) This screen-used Oscar prop is from The Bad and the Beautiful, one of the greatest warts-and-all movies Hollywood ever made about itself. From the opening scenes when "Harry Pebbel" (Walter Pidgeon) calls a meeting in his office with "Lee Bartlow" (Dick Powell), "Georgia Lorrison" (Lana Turner) and "Fred Amiel" (Barry Sullivan). Consisting of a solid cast resin 13 in. tall prop Oscar statuette with integral painted black pedestal base and gold painted iconic figure. A gold painted plaque at the front of base is lettered with, "1949" and even features the "A.M.P.A.S." letters on the back of the foot of base. This statue appears throughout this film as the characters maneuver the hallways and offices of the Hollywood studio system. With green felted bottom. In vintage very good condition.
