Description
Vincente Minnelli Dan-style African mask from Goodbye Charlie. (TCF, 1964) Vintage mask in the style of the Dan people of Libera and Côte d'Ivoire. Constructed of wood and metal. Measures 9.5 x 5.75 in. Originally from Minnelli's personal collection, and later used as set décor. Visible in "Charlie's" (Debbie Reynolds) bachelor pad in the film. With opening at bottom which threads onto a wooden block base. Exhibiting some wear and pigment loss to extremities.Auction Info
